Description

**This role may have in-office requirements based on candidate location. This is a ranged posting. Level offered will be based on candidate experience at manager discretion.**

 

There are multiple openings on on Safeco Property Enhancements, Liberty Mutual Compliance and Small Commercial.

 

We are currently hiring Systems Support Analysts across several teams. This is a ranged posting for up to Principal roles, position offered will be based on candidate skills and experience at manager discretion.

 

In this role, individuals will be working with an Agile squad supporting the squad. This includes conducting research to determine how new products will interact with existing products, pricing and underwriting programs, as well as product platform design research to identify gaps or dependencies. Individuals may be responsible for coding Ratabase changes, completing unit testing, supporting the Product Owner when needed and working with technology partners to create user acceptance criteria based on rating changes for functional testing.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support squad with delivery of highest priority initiatives using thorough research techniques and/or rating expertise using an Agile mindset.
  • Actively contribute to the prioritization process by effectively partnering with Product Owners, business sponsors and other stakeholders to achieve portfolio goals.
  • Partner with the PO and other stakeholders to effectively prioritize product deliverables and proactively ensure transparency into research and/or rating activities.
  • Provide advanced, self-directed operational and consultative support through complex rating, business and product-specific research.
  • Provide recommendations based on technical, rating, research and testing expertise into the squad’s development of complex test scenarios, execution of test plans, test cases, and to manage defects.
  • Ensure project/system documentation is maintained and accessible by all stakeholders based on team norms.
  • Support department by sharing knowledge, providing training, mentoring and contributing towards a positive environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of business operations, objectives and strategies as well as business process and information flow.
  • Understanding of business practices common across many businesses.
  • Extensive understanding of re-engineering approaches.
  • General knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies.
  • General knowledge of diverse technologies and new and current architectures.
  • Skills in object, data and / or process modeling; financial analysis and planning, business value analysis; business process design.
  • Negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
