The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Come join the GRS Operations Analytics team within the North America Data Office as a Consultant, Advanced Analytics!

 

The North America operations analytics team focuses on answering critical operations challenges across all segments of GRS North America. The team aims to forge strategic partnerships and leverage advanced analytical techniques to deliver data-driven and actionable insights that address business challenges, inform key decisions, and propel strategic growth within GRS. We deliver critical operational insights and enhanced analytics capabilities to accelerate North America’s Operations Transformation.

 

The preferred location for the selected candidate is Boston, MA. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and develop detailed and actionable analytical soltuons that support GRS Middle Market’s go-to-market strategies
  • Conducts high complexity analysis for GRS North America in support of Underwriting and the Office of Operations.
  • Partners with key leaders in the office of operations to assess business needs and provide analytical solutions
  • May regularly utilize, update and adapt predictive modeling tools and/or focus on the application of the tools.
  • Develop analytic tools used by others to do their jobs more effectively and guide decision-making.
  • Answers complex questions by synthesizing data from diverse sources
  • Presents findings / recommendations which impact profitability, growth, and/or customer satisfaction
  • May lead discussions with senior leadership at the department or functional level
  • Mentor/coach junior analysts or rotational analysts as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 5 years, typically 7 or more years, of related experience required; Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field are preferred fields of study.
  • Master's Degree preferred; advanced education may be substituted for years of experience (Ph.D. with no professional experience).
  • Ability to apply advanced analytical concepts to improve business outcomes.
  • Ability to build analytic tools that will be used by business teams to analyze results and opportunities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL based coding
  • Must have good planning, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
  • Ability to present data, visually and verbally, to guide conversations with business leaders
