The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications and location. The full salary range for this role reflects the competitive labor market value for all employees in these positions across the national market and provides an opportunity to progress as employees grow and develop within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

Solaria Labs is Liberty Mutual’s Enterprise Incubator. Solaria partners with teams from across Liberty to stay on the forefront of disruption, incubating new products, services, and experiences to better serve our customers, agents, and partners today and in the future. Areas of focus include digital ubiquity, climate change, sustainability, new transportation models, insurance value chain disruption, and risk services.

As Senior Director, Insights and Experimentation Enablement, you will be responsible for leading a team of researchers and analysts that partner across our broader team to develop a perspective on disruptive forces that we will face in the future in support of focusing our work on the highest areas of opportunity, execute customer/client research to inform our program plans, and lead a suite of enterprise-wide programs to help Liberty further shift to a culture of experimentation and discovery.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Directly manage team of ~5 researchers and analysts 
  • Partner with teams from across Liberty to develop and align on our Enterprise Innovation Agenda focus areas.  Current areas include digital ubiquity, climate change, sustainability, new transportation models, insurance value chain disruption, and risk services.
  • Conduct in-market research with our customers, clients, agents and partners in support of our incubation pipeline and active portfolio
  • Maintain connectivity and alignment across enterprise and BU incubation pipelines and measures of success
  • Lead our Innovation@Liberty suite of programs focused on further shifting Liberty to a culture of experimentation and discovery.  Programs include a company-wide innovation challenge, an experiential rotation program, and target workshops in partnership with business and technology.
  • Solaria measures of sucess and executive reporting 

 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  

  • Bachelor's degree, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven ability to integrate strategies and programs across multiple areas.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of proven progressive experience in innovation/innovation-driven organizations and a minimum of three years of proven team management and leadership experience. 
  • Strong ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization. Must possess strong analytical, strategic, project management, decision-making and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
