Liberty Mutual Investments (LMI) is a seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Dimension Support team within its Investment Operations function supporting LMI’s ABOR, Simcorp Dimension.  The team plays a critical role for LMG in the delivery of accurate monthly & quarterly regulatory reporting and in the daily investment process. The Senior Analyst will work with the Director and Analysts of the Investment Operations function and is responsible for supporting team deliverables/mandates.  The Senior Analyst will have ownership and provide support for initiatives impacting daily operations of the investment book and the monthly book close process.

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

1.    Collaborate cross-functionally with other business units including Product, Data, Finance, Technology & Investors to help achieve consistently improved ABOR data used for regulatory reporting and investment decisions.

2.    Perform research and analysis to support downstream users in their understanding of reporting data.

3.    Solve problems related to the daily interfaces of data into and out of the ABOR.

4.    Analyze & action general ledger differences and perform root cause analysis to help avoid those differences in the future.

5.    Participate in short- and long-term projects where subject matter expertise is required to achieve project goals.

6.     Review work, serve as a technical resource, and provide feedback, training and guidance to other business partners.

7.     Using a continuous improvement mindset, identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance controls and satisfy business requirements. #LMI

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related field is required.    
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in Investment Operations or Fund Accounting.
  • Strong working knowledge across broad assetclasses. 
  • Keen business attitude, including written/verbal communication and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task across projects/requests, work well under time demands, and drive deadlines.
  • Propensity to quickly learn new applications, processes, and areas of business.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively, independently and within a team.
  • Familiarity with SimCorp Dimension is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work with management and key stakeholders in various SBU’s/ departments.
