Some roles at Liberty Mutual have a corresponding compensation plan which may include commission and/or bonus earnings at rates that vary based on multiple factors set forth in the compensation plan for the role.

Description

The ERM Consultant, Credit Risk Insurance Analytics is responsible for supporting Liberty Mutual Global Risk Solutions (GRS) risk oversight of Credit and Financial Products.

 

The role requires hands-on technical capabilities to model credit and financial risks across GRS’ broad suite of reinsurance products using internal and external models and will partner with key stakeholders across risk, underwriting, actuarial, and other functions to ensure model results are reasonable.

 

The successful candidate should have experience with risk aggregation modeling techniques, accumulation management, and model validation, as well as experience with credit and financial risk reinsurance products including contract and commercial surety, mortgage, trade credit, political risk, and non-payment.

 

 

This is a remote position, you will be required to go into the office twice a month if you reside within 50 miles of one of the following offices: Bala Cynwyd, PA; Boston, MA; Hoffman Estates, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Lake Oswego, OR; Las Vegas, NV; Plano, TX; Suwanee, GA; Syracuse, NY; Tampa, FL; or Weatogue, CT.  Please note this policy is subject to change.

 

This is a range posting and we may fill as a Senior ERM Analyst or ERM Consultant. The salary range posted reflects various geographic remote locations.

 

Sr. ERM Analyst- Grade 15- $81,700- $146,700  Annual FTO Days( Flexible Time off): 20 days

ERM Consultant- Grade 17- $103,400- $188,800 Annual FTO Days (Flexible Time off): 20 days

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the GRS, view or risk which details the approved methodology and approach to Credit and Financial Products risk measurement.
  • Support the strategic analysis and monitoring of risk exposures to provide insights into risk accumulations, market and risk trends and developments.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to assess and improve understanding of the risk accumulation scenarios or clash events that have the greatest potential to cause a material loss.
  • Support the development of risk limits, underwriting guideline considerations and best practices, and other product management actions.
  • Support underwriting and pricing quality reviews to evaluate adherence to Liberty standards and guidance, assess the reasonableness of key assumptions and selections, and review for appropriate use of approved pricing tools.
  • Contribute to risk-based validation of loss models and new pricing tools including review and effective challenge of key assumptions and parameters.
  • Contribute to regular reporting for internal risk-governance bodies as required.
  • Contribute to Credit and Financial Products projects and initiatives as required.
  • Coordinate with Underwriting and Operations to develop data standards that improve quality and breadth of exposure information, collected to facilitate transparent and informed risk taking.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or Masters degree preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Additionally, strong quantitative analysis and modeling skills, experience in an analytical capacity ( i.e.financial analysis, product management, actuarial, underwriting, are required).  Strong understanding of the risk characteristics of insurance industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of basic financial concepts and metrics, including financial statement analysis preferred.
