Description

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Wisdom United team in GRM US Financial Services (BL Billing). If selected, you will have the opportunity to leverage your skills with cloud-based technology to build tools and solutions used to support new and innovative business lines insurance products. You will work on a modern technology stack consisting of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, and AWS

  

The Wisdom United team is responsible for the applications that handle all aspects of our Business Lines customer billing.  This includes account set up, customer notices, payments, policy eventing, and General Ledger transactions.  We are currently working to create new systems with modern cloud architectures to augment the platforms that support our traditional business lines products.

 

As part of the Global Retail Markets organization you will part of a team architecting solutions that will serve the US region and facilitate market leading experiences for our customers and agents. We are well on our way to revolutionizing our commercial products and systems and need a talented engineer to help us achieve our desired results.  

 

This is a grade range posting for a Senior Software Engineer grade16 or  Principal Software Engineer grade 17

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience 
  • Strong familiarity with AWS, Java, Python, JavaScript (NodeJS, Angular, React), SpringBoot, Docker, Microservices, GIT 
  • 5+ years of professional tech experience
  • Excellent negotiation, facilitation and consensus-building capabilities 
  • Openness and adaptability to respond to fast-moving circumstances 
  • Knowledge of and ability to personally demonstrate and utilize many of the techniques, processes and tools that drive inclusion and engagement of all employees with a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives  
  • Experience working in an agile environment 
  • Experience with CI/CD practices & Dev Ops Principles
  • Experience with modern Full-Stack Engineering  
  • Hands-on involvement with layered systems architectures, designs and shared software concepts  
  • Familiarity with functional and system integration testing 
  • Familiarity of diverse and emerging technologies, architectural concepts and principles 
  • Awareness of policies regarding security and privacy 
  • Understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics and incremental delivery
